Features
Our engineering team has created the next generation of HVLS Fans. We call our line of fans the AltAir™ line. They have the following features:
Sizes - We offer fans in the following sizes: 9’, 12’, and 15’ diameters. This allows AirMotion HVLS fans to be installed within most typically spaced sprinkler and lighting setups, keeping your local fire marshal and insurance underwriters happy while also avoiding the annoying and counterproductive strobe effect.
VPT™ - Variable Pitch Technology – Unique to the HVLS Fan market, we put the airflow
control in your hands. With pitch control of 0 to 20 degrees, up or down,
combined with our state of the art use of Variable Frequency Drives, you can move the air just the way
you want it to get the maximum amount of air moving in your facility. This is especially beneficial when
multiple fans are configured in an array to effect what we refer to as optimal CFM – Complete Facility
Movement of air.
Rotatair™ Composite Blades – Unlike other blades with airfoil shapes taken from sailplanes, model airplanes or truck/auto spoilers designed to travel by themselves in one direction, we have engineered our blades to rotate efficiently in the wind of other blades. Our composite manufacturing approach enables us to build them lighter and stronger, with optimal shapes. Note how our blades are narrower at the tips, reducing turbulence and inefficient air movement. The symmetry of the blades, coupled with AirMotion’s VPT, gives you 100% up and down airflow capability.
Power Unit – We have carefully matched components of our 1HP motor with gear reducer and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) mechanism, which are engineered for efficiency, simplicity, durability, and ease of servicing. The low profile enables AirMotion HVLS fans to be installed in mezzanines and other lower ceiling facility areas as well as above cranes and other areas where space is tight.
Control Unit – Simple, but complete control is what you get. State of the art application of VFD technology ensures a long life of carefree operation while avoiding electrical noise that can interfere with other equipment and/or result in power unit damage over time, especially with inconsistent electric power supplies in certain regions. Designed to be easier and less expensive to install, but sophisticated to let you adjust the airflow using AirMotion’s VPT.
Mounting – AirMotion HVLS fans are engineered to be simple and versatile, while avoiding low profile installation limitations. The way we have built our fans enables you to angle them beyond the horizontal and vertical, effectively giving you 360 degrees of airflow direction.
