HVLS Fan Executive Launches AirMotion Sciences

Holliston, MA – June 27, 2007 – Peter Caruso announces the launching of AirMotion Sciences, Inc., maker and marketer of AirMotion AltAir™ HVLS (High Volume – Low Speed) fans. AltAir HVLS fans are large (9 feet to 15 feet in diameter), highly energy efficient (need only 1 hp motors), and are used for cooling, heat de-stratification, as alternatives to air conditioning, and for other ventilation purposes in large facilities where energy savings result in rapid payback and significant ROI. Industries served include warehousing and distribution, manufacturing, commercial, and agricultural.

Caruso (former CEO of another HVLS fan company where he led its launch and built it into an international presence) is taking the HVLS fan industry into its next generation of product development, stating: “Our mission is to bring products that significantly reduce large facility energy costs while enhancing comfort and productivity. Having learned a lot about this relatively new and exciting product category, I have been fortunate to assemble a brilliant engineering team together. Our tag line is “Innovation/ Experience/Know-How”, and our team lives up to those words every day. We will continue innovating with new and enhanced products that will enable our customers to save money while reducing their use of environmental and energy resources.”

AirMotion AltAir HVLS fans include AirMotion’s proprietary VPT™ -Variable Pitch Technology with Rotatair™ composite blades, and carefully engineered application of VFD (variable frequency drive) capability. By adjusting blade pitch 0 to 20 degrees, up or down, coupled with varying motor speed, users have better control over the air they move – called Adjustable Air Movement. Three or more AltAir fans arranged in an array allow for what AirMotion calls CFM – Complete Facility Movement of air.

“We are excited about the possibilities. We think working together with our customers we can do well while doing good,” says Caruso. “By bringing the next generation of HVLS fans to market, followed by other product innovations, we hope we will leave the world a better place for future generations.”
