AirMotion AltAir™ HVLS Fan a Finalist for Product of the Year

Holliston, MA – October 3, 2007 – AirMotion Sciences, Inc. announces that its AltAir™ HVLS (High Volume – Low Speed) fan has been selected as a finalist in Plant Engineering Magazine’s 2007 Product of the Year Competition.

“We are proud to learn that the judges at Plant Engineering Magazine have recognized the innovation in our HVLS fans,” states Peter Caruso, AirMotion’s Founder & CEO. “Their selection helps validate the merits of our variable pitch technology, our composite blades, our overall fan design, and the practical benefits our fans can provide for their readers.”

AirMotion’s VPT™ -Variable Pitch Technology enables users to adjust blade pitch 0 to 20 degrees, up or down, to better control the air they need to move – called Adjustable Air Movement. Three or more large (9 feet to 15 feet in diameter) AltAir fans arranged in an array can allow for what AirMotion calls CFM – Complete Facility Movement of air – in warehousing and distribution, manufacturing, commercial, agricultural, and other large facilities.

Coupled with their Rotatair™ composite blades, and carefully engineered use of VFD’s (variable frequency drives), AirMotion AltAir HVLS fans are highly energy efficient tools for cooling, heat de-stratification, as alternatives to air conditioning, and for other ventilation purposes in large facilities where energy savings result in rapid payback and significant ROI.

“It is a great feeling to have recognition of our creative efforts,” says Joe Madsen, AirMotion’s VP of Engineering. “We think we have created a better mousetrap, and apparently the judges at Plant Engineering Magazine think we are on to something as well.”
