AirMotion Sciences Introduces its AltAir™ Line of HVLS Fans

Holliston, MA – June 27, 2007 – AirMotion Sciences, Inc. announces the introduction of its AltAir™ line of HVLS (High Volume – Low Speed) fans. AltAir HVLS fans are large (9 feet to 15 feet in diameter), highly energy efficient (need only 1 hp motors) and are used for cooling, heat de-stratification, as alternatives to air conditioning, and for other ventilation purposes in large facilities where energy savings result in rapid payback and significant ROI. Industries served include warehousing and distribution, manufacturing, commercial, and agricultural.

“We are excited to bring the next generation of HVLS fans to market,” states Peter Caruso, AirMotion’s Founder & CEO. “ We apply innovation, experience, and know-how to this relatively new and exciting product category. Yes, we are using physics and science to build and operate our fans, but we make it simple and easy for our customers so they can improve facility environments and significantly save on energy costs.”

AirMotion AltAir HVLS fans include proprietary VPT™ -Variable Pitch Technology with Rotatair™ composite blades, and carefully engineered application of VFD (variable frequency drive) capability. By adjusting blade pitch 0 to 20 degrees, up or down, coupled with varying motor speed, users have better control over the air they move – called Adjustable Air Movement. Three or more AltAir fans arranged in an array allow for what AirMotion calls CFM – Complete Facility Movement of air.

“We have applied the latest technologies to create our AltAir™ HVLS fans,” says Joe Madsen, AirMotion’s VP of Engineering. “Though highly sophisticated, they are simple to install, operate, and maintain. Our VPT™ capability gives enormous flexibility at one’s fingertips in how and where air can be moved in a facility to provide comfort and reduce energy usage.”
